The Chesterfield Crisis Intervention Team is a 24-hour emergency mental health service for citizens of Chesterfield County. The crisis staff members are specialists, trained in the assessment of acute mental health problems and short-term counseling. They assist consumers and family members in resolving issues to prevent crisis situations from worsening. Crisis staff members refer individuals to the appropriate program for treatment services that best meet the person's needs.
